Imagine yourself relaxing in a cool, darkened room, eyes closed, your skin awaiting an hour or more of cleansing relaxation. This summer, you should book a facial. It’s important to protect and renew your skin all year long, not just during the colder months.
We often overlook the benefits of facials during summer. Our days are spent relaxing, swimming, and enjoying the sun. Nevada summers are unbearably hot. With Lapis & Oak serving the greater Las Vegas area, we’re used to dealing with intense temperatures and zero humidity. No matter what we do, we cannot look good without water…and our faces are no exception. This problem can be resolved with moisturizing facials followed by a customized home care regimen.
Do you have a sunburn or a sunkissed appearance? Swimming in chlorinated pools a lot? Are you going outside, shopping, working, or just living your life? Most of the people we know fall into that category. You don’t have to get a summer tan to have glowing skin. Instead of long-term skin damage, why not achieve the same visual result through skin replenishment at a facial spa?
Exfoliate, moisturize, protect.
Here’s the thing. Summer facials aren’t just fun – though we make sure you enjoy your spa experience – they’re also crucial for long-term self-care. You can damage your skin from too much sun and arid desert heat.
Plus, everyone can benefit from cleaning out their pores, exfoliating, and balancing their skin, as well as adopting a customized home facial care regimen. It depends on age, health, and skin condition how often each individual needs facial treatment, but “rarely” and “never” should be out of your self-care vocabulary. You’ll feel better about yourself and your face.
Which Facial Should I Choose?
Each person’s unique needs can be met by our professional, highly experienced estheticians. Furthermore, every treatment we offer at our spa blends our expertise with your personal experience.
In the summer, particularly if your skin is dry, we frequently recommend our Hydro facial. It’s right there in the name – “hydro” (water)! An hour-long hydro facial includes hydrodermabrasion, chemical peel, extractions, antioxidants, and hyaluronic acid peptide infusions. If you want to treat fine lines and wrinkles even more, you can add vitamin/nutrient/botanical infused oxygen therapy.
For something a bit different, try our immune boosting facial with strawberry rhubarb dermafoliant. This facial stimulates collagen production while exfoliating and hydrating your skin with essential fatty acids, antioxidants and vitamins. Also, LED light therapy!
Our Jan Marini C-ESTA facial with lipid-soluble vitamin C and DMAE is great for firming and tightening skin. Hyperpigmentation, congestion, or acne? You’ll receive a customized facial recommendation and instructions for at-home care. If you’re looking to counteract seasonal concerns, we recommend microdermabrasion facials in the warmer months.
Don’t forget to take care of yourself while planning summer camps and vacations. Come in for a facial, sit down and discuss your skincare needs with us, and we’ll design a customized treatment just for you. You’ll leave the spa glowing, pumped up, and moisturized.
