Your First Visit
Everything you need to feel comfortable, prepared, and cared for so you can walk in relaxed, and simply settle into the experience.
You do not need to arrive prepared.
If you have never visited Lapis & Oak, or if this is your first time at a spa like ours, there is nothing you need to figure out ahead of time. You do not need to know the right words, the right service, or the right way to walk in. We will guide you from the moment you arrive.
This page is here to help you feel comfortable, not to add to your to-do list.
What to expect when you arrive.
You will be greeted by name. We will show you around, answer any questions, and make sure you feel settled before anything begins. There is no rush and no script to follow.
If you booked a massage, your therapist will ask about areas of tension and pressure preference. If you booked a facial, your esthetician will look at your skin together with you and ask about your routine and concerns. Every service begins with a conversation.
You can speak up at any point during your service. That is not an inconvenience. That is how we do our best work.
We recommend arriving just 5–10 minutes before your scheduled appointment. That gives you enough time to settle in without feeling rushed.
If you have booked more than one service, you are welcome to change into a robe and slippers between appointments. We will have everything ready for you.
How to get the most from your visit.
The best results come when you feel comfortable being honest with your therapist or esthetician. You do not need clinical language. You can simply say what you feel.

All of these are perfect. The more honestly you describe what you are feeling, the more we can tailor the experience to you.
If you are looking for something beyond a single service, our Salt Lounge offers a different kind of reset. It is a Himalayan salt therapy room designed for deep relaxation and respiratory wellness, and it is available as a standalone visit or as a complement to any treatment.
Many of our guests add a Salt Lounge session before or after their appointment. There is no wrong way to experience it.
Getting the most from your service does not end when you walk out the door. A few small things can help your body continue to settle and respond.
A warm mineral bath soak later in the day can help your body continue to relax and absorb the benefits of your service. It is a simple way to carry that same sense of calm into your evening.
Drink plenty of water after your massage or salt session. Bodywork can stimulate the lymphatic system, and hydration supports the process. Your body will thank you.
